Week 6: Format, Pairings and Tee Times

Welcome to Week 6. First, thanks to Bret Benack, we have an official logo! It is based on a pic of Paul Whybrew (supplied by Eric Osborn) right after he had stiffed a 9 iron to the green and missed a hole-in-one by 2 inches. It is a beautiful tribute to Paul and an awesome logo. Don't fret! I'm already working on tee shirts.

Week 6 marks the return of two original members who had their season debut delayed by injury. Matt Carter will be making his first tour around the Friendly Confines after having two separate surgeries on each of his thumbs. Tom Lewis will not be playing, but he will be caddying for Yours Truly as he recovers from surgery to repair a torn patella. 

The Net Quota format was well received, so we will give it another go. There is an adjustment period to expect early in the calculation of individual quotas, but I think you will see that they have stabilized a great deal already. That suggests another close competition this week! Here are the pairings and tee times. The number in parentheses is the player's individual quota:

5:50PM - Palleschi (3)/DiFrangia (11) and Stein (12)/Benack (5)

6:00PM - Underwood (9)/Bogan (5) and Lorms (12)/Solis (12)

6:10PM - Osborn (11)/Barrett (8) and D. May (8)/Spencer (11)

6:20PM - G. May (11)/Lee (11) and Carter (4)/Aziz (4)
